Program Summary and Objective The (SEHRC) is a proposed Community Based Organization, seeking funds to develop an exciting and innovative project for the personal and financial growth of our participants and their families. We will also serve other local and surrounding communities and the State of Louisiana as a whole, by supporting its’ current and ongoing project to rebuild. • We will provide employment resources, including career training, educational advancement assistance, and job placement assistance. • We will provide Life & Family guidance including credit repair and home buying assistance. • We will provide parenting classes and support for families. • We will provide an (open to the community) food shelf and an emergency financial assistance fund. • We will provide transportation to and from work for individuals who choose to participate in the city’s current and on going clean up / construction project. Our organization proposes to build Eighty Four (three bedroom family) partially furnished units and one on site staff suite. We will provide rent controlled housing designated for the handicapped and working families in transition. Rent will not exceed six hundred fifty dollars a month for any resident. Unemployed, displaced or elderly / handicapped residents’ rent will be based on 30% of the families’ monthly income. Twelve Units will be handicapped built and designated for families who have a specific need. The remaining units will be designated for families in transition and who participate in the (SEHRC) program. Dear Jada; we are a non profit organization. We have submitted to the Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation for grants inorder to start to build. We have not yet heard anything from them.
